For many years, IBRAE RAN has been specializing in comprehensive research on the safety of nuclear power and industrial facilities, including the nuclear fuel cycle (NFC), using modern computer technologies. During this time, the Institute’s specialists have developed detailed physical models of processes in nuclear reactors of various types, created and put into operation modern computer codes that allow to simulate the development of design and beyond-design situations at nuclear power plants with high accuracy, including severe accidents.
