PROCEEDINGS OF IBRAE RAS, ISSUE 7: PHYSICAL MODELS FOR ANOMALOUS CONTAMINANT TRANSPORT IN HIGHLY HETEROGENEOUS MEDIA

Proceedings of IBRAE RAS, Issue 7: Physical models for anomalous contaminant transport in highly heterogeneous media

PUBLISHER: Наука

Ed. by L.A. Bolshov

The results of investigations of anomalous contaminant transport in highly heterogeneous media are represented. The work was performed at the laboratory of theoretical physics of Nuclear Safety Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences. The collection of works consists of 10 papers. In the first three papers the problem of random advection with long range velocity correlations is studied. Next five papers contain the results of anomalous transport regimes caused by sharply contrast structure of the media.

The last two papers are devoted to a role of strong spatial fluctuations of medium characteristics. The results obtained give the basis for the development of methods for the assessment of waste storage reliability in rock geological media.

The assumed target for the issue are students and specialists in mass transport phenomena.
