The volume covers the final stage of life cycle of nuclear facilities, namely decommissioning. The first volume deals with the formation of problems of nuclear legacy in the defense and peace areas, assesses the scale of these problems, outlines the ways for their phased solution and mechanisms that prevent their reproduction in the future. The second volume covers the modernization and development of the radioactive waste management system in the Russian Federation. The third volume examines the decommissioning and rehabilitation of nuclear facilities.
