In 2013, the Nuclear Safety Institute (IBRAE) was 25 years old. The reader is offered a brief booklet, which contains a description of fundamental and applied scientific works of the Institute and its main achievements. Of course,this is some what fragmented view of the history of the development of the Institute. Never the less set out in the booklet describes quite adequate understanding of the direction and, most importantly,about the nature of activities of the Institute.
