The 8th Meeting of the Coordination Committee between the State Corporation "Rosatom" and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA)

The 8^th Meeting of the Coordination Committee between the State Corporation "Rosatom" and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) was hold in Moscow on 17 April, 2018. Traditionally, an issue on cooperation of Russian and French scientific organisations in the field of atomic energy use was included in the agenda. The presentation of such cooperation on the example of a long-term cooperation between IBRAE RAN and the French Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) was made by Dr. Larisa Shpinkova, the Head of Office for International Scientific and Technical Projects of IBRAE RAN. The basic scientific directions of the IBRAE-IRSN cooperation were covered in the presentation:

1. Nuclear Safety including Code Modelling for Sodium Fast Reactors;
2. Radiation Protection including Radioactive Waste Management;
3. Emergency Management including Analysis of Fukushima Accident;
4. Radiation Risk Communication including Emergency Information.
