The New Year’s game of the Intellectual Tournament of IBRAE RAN

On the eve of January holidays, on December 26, 2013, the New Year’s game of the Intellectual Tournament of IBRAE RAN was held. For the first time in the history of such events, the Institute’s teams of seniors (“The Lace”) and youth (“Good Luck With MegaEvil Becquerel”) met in the ring. 

Players of the team "Good Luck With MegaEvil Becquerel" have already taken part in Brain-rings at IBRAE RAN, and the gained experience became the determining factor in winning the New Year’s Intellectual Cup. The "Lace" team let the competitors go far ahead in the first part of the competition; it lack for just a few questions not only to win the second part, but also to catch up with their opponents. 

Eventually, the youth team won by 17 to 15 in equal uncompromising struggle. Evgeny Moiseenko became the best player, and Irina Surkova was recognized the best expert in the audience. The prizes and souvenir cups were presented to the best players and all members of the teams. 

It is worth noting that the intellectual battles become the traditional events in the life of the Institute. The three games were held last year, in which more than 25 employees took part, and 4 teams were established.
